![]() Im aware that it will be not just replacing the english audio files with the japanese ones and the project is done. Maybe someone can post important links (so that i can read it all by myself), or tell me where to start at all or maybe give me information about what needs to be known when someone is trying to undub a game (especially a PS1 game), that would be great. Third: Im not asking for a detailed step by step guide, but i would really appreciate if you can assist me, since i dont have any knowledge about hacking at all. ![]() Second, english is not my first langauge, so i apologize now for any mistakes and troubles you all will face by reading my post. Its very likely that i will not succeed, but at least i can say that i tried it. ![]() Since nobody seems to work on this instead requesting it in hope that someone will do it, i thought to try it out myself. Edit 2: Mugi also released an undub patch for the original Valkyrie Profile game for the PS1. ![]() Of course it could also have been an emulator caused issue as well, honestly I don't know, just an assumption.Īlthough I suppose if there's clearly defined sound files, and they're exactly the same size, and the coding in both versions of the game is exactly the same your method seems theoreticly sound! Alas I have a feeling it will not be so.Proper undub of Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (PSP). If this is true then it would explain why so many people had issues with the actual game not working properly on the playstation. Before you get started you should be aware that tri-Ace games tend to be very complicated, and convoluted (and although I have no definitive proof to point to) I'm under the asumption that VP's dialogue is done in such a way that the game will freeze (at specific points) if the sound gets out of sync in specific ways. ![]() It's generally not all that easy, there's not going to be sound files you can just pull out and replace with the Japanese versions sound files and expect it to work as such. ![]()
